8.4.2015:
OBS: Så er der "strikket korrektur", og jeg har lavet en lille ændring ved tommelfingeren.
16.4.2015:
Jeg er ved at oversætte opskriften og har i den forbindelse fundet et par fejl, som nu er rettet.
FINGERLESS MITTS WITH EASY CABLES AND EYELET
Size: Medium. The mitts are supposed to be elastic and fit tight.
The instructions for the cables are pattern A and B, and the eyelet are C and D
Yarn: Light fingering or fingering. I like to use merino which gives a good stitch definition. You will need 30-35 g or 115-130 m.
Gauge: 29-32 sts = 10 cm
Needles: Circular for using the magic loop technique or doublepointed size 2½ and 3½.
Abbreviations:
cn = cable needle
CO = cast on
dpn = double pointed needle(s)
k = knit
k2tog = knit 2 together
lh = left hand
LLI = Left Lifted Increase
p = purl
p2tog = purl 2 together
pfb = purl front back
PM = place marker
RLI = Right Lifted Increase
sl = slip
ssk = slip, slip, knit
st = stitch
sts = stitches
yo = yarn over
Pattern A is a left-twisting cable over 4 sts and 4 rounds:
Round 1 - 3: k4
Round 4: sl 2 sts to cn and hold in front, k2 from lh needle, k2 from cn
Pattern B is a right-twisting cable over 4 sts and 4 rounds:
Round 1 - 3: k4
Round 4: sl 2 sts to cn and hold in back, k2 from lh needle, k2 from cn
Pattern C is an eyelet pattern over 9 sts and 10 rounds:
Round 1: p2, k3, k2tog, yo, p2
Round 2 and all even rounds: p2, k5, p2
Round 3: p2, k2, k2tog. yo, k1, p2
Round 5: p2, k1, k2tog, yo, k2, p2
Round 7: p2, k2tog, yo, k3, p2
Round 9: p1, p2tog, yo, k4, p2
Pattern D is the same but reverse
Round 1: p2, yo, ssk, k3, p2
Round 2 and all even rounds: p2, k5, p2
Round 3: p2 k1, yo, ssk, k2, p2
Round 5: p2, k2, yo, ssk, k1, p2
Round 7: p2 k3, yo, ssk, p2
Round 9: p2, k4, yo, p2tog, p1
RIGHT MITT:
CO 52 sts on needles 3½. Change to needles 2½ and join to knit in the round using the magic loop or dpn.
Round 1 - 11: k2, p2, pattern A, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, pattern A, p2, *k2, p2*, repeat from * - * to the end of the round
Round 12: k2, p2, pattern A, p2, k2, p2tog, k2, p2, pattern A, *k2, p2*, repeat from * - * to the end of the round
Round 13 - 32 : k2, p2, pattern A, pattern C, pattern A, p2, k to the end of the round
Now you have worked pattern C twice, and you are going to make the thumb gusset. If you want the cuffs longer you can repeat pattern C more times.
Thumbgusset:
k2, p2, pattern A, pattern C, pattern A, p2, k6, PM, RLI, LLI, PM, k to the end of the round
Repeat the increases after first marker and before second marker on every 3rd round until you have 20 sts in the gusset.
k 2 more rounds
On next round: Place 20 gusset sts on waste yarn. CO 2 new sts between the markers.
Continue in patterns (remove the markers on the first round) until pattern C is worked 6 times (or more if you have made the cuffs longer).
Next round: k2, p2, pattern A, p2, k2, pfb, k2, p2, pattern A, p2, k to end of round.
Next round and 5 more rounds: k2, p2, pattern A, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, pattern A, p2, *k2, p2*, repeat form * to * to end of round.
BO as the sts show using needles 3½
Thumb:
Return 20 sts to dpn 2½ and pick up additional 2sts.
k 6 rounds. On the first round k the last st before the first picked up st and the first picked up st together and k the second picked up st together with the following st.
At last do 4 rounds in double rib: k2, p2
BO as the sts show using needles no 3½
Left mitt:
Work as right mitt, but replace pattern A with pattern B and pattern C with pattern D.
Start thumb gusset after 22 sts instead of 6 sts.
Finishing:
Weave in ends.
